Once you’ve installed Diogenes, you can use a handy shortcut in the menu to download all the PDFs from the TLL ‘s website: You’ll be asked for a download location, and even if you move your files around, you can always manually point Diogenes to the PDFs by clicking. TLG Workplace is a commercial program, for a free TLG (and PHI) reader, check Diogenes.
TLG Workplace makes fast and convenient searches, but the number of search matches is limited. Large amounts of text can be copied, although not a complete book. Besides this, a copy splits some words without reason. Goong s sub indo. TLG Workplace provides also immediate lookup of words and translations at Perseus.
Searches can be performed inside a single collection, or through a group of collections. For these searches, the results can be easily printed or copied into a word processor’s document.
Sections of texts can be copied and pasted from TLG Workplace into any other Windows application. Searches are typed in Greek, and the searches ignore all accents, breathers and iota subscripts. Diacritical marks can be selectively added to the search, if necessary. AND, OR, NOT and proximity searching are all available.
Note that the TLG CD ROM is not included in TLG Workplace. Note also that the whole TLG project has now moved on-line exclusively, i.e. you might not be able to get even old CD ROM versions.

reading the databases of Latin and Greek texts published on CD-Rom by
the Packard Humanities Institute and the Thesaurus Linguae Graecae.

The major new feature in this version is that, thanks to the
generosity of the Perseus project, morphological data and dictionaries
for Latin (Lewis-Short) and Greek (LSJ) and are built-in. This means
that you can:
* Click on a word in the texts and get a morphological analysis and
the corresponding dictionary entry instantly, even if you are not
connected to the Internet.
* Click to analyze words in the dictionary entries themselves, or
click on the citation information of a passage cited in the
dictionary to jump to the context of the passage in the Latin or
Greek database.
* Do morphologically intelligent searching, i.e. search for all of the
inflected forms of a given dictionary headword.
* Look up words in the dictionaries.
In addition, version 3 of Diogenes is newly based on the Firefox
browser and should be very easy to install, much more so than
Diogenes Tlg Software Reviewspreviously. Easy-to-install packages are provided for Mac OS X,
Windows, and Linux. Installation just takes a couple of clicks.
Version 3.1 also includes a number of new features that had long been
requested:
* Unicode input (now the default).Diogenes Tlg
* Saving user-defined subsets of the databases for repeated searching.
* Running marginal numeration when browsing through a text.
* Improved Unicode output.
* For network installations, individual user settings (via cookies).
